Outfit: Phillip Lim x Target Skirt

DSC_0016

Happy Monday, darlings! I hope you all had an amazing weekend. If you have a long weekend, I hope you're enjoying it! I wanna start off my saying THANK YOU! Last week, I asked you guys to send me positive vibes, and you did. I still can't say much, but I can tell you that your vibes definitely delivered! I have moved one step closer to my finish line and then I get to share some really exciting news with you guys. So, I will still be needing your amazing vibes. Anyhoo, I'm going on and on coz I'm so excited. Bottom line is that you guys are incredible and your support and kind words mean the world to me!

On to the outfit - I had been eyeing this skirt since the minute I first saw the Phillip Lim x Target lookbook, and it definitely lived up to my expectations when I finally got it. When it came to styling it though, I didn't wanna just pair it with a white tank or top. I had seen some bloggers style it with a striped top, and I loved it, but I don't do stripes well. And then, I was at TJ Maxx last week (of course!), and I saw this shirt. I knew it would be perfect with this skirt! I kid you not when I tell you I did a little happy dance right there in the store. I can't be the only one who gets excited about stuff like that, right?

Btw, I'm thinking of changing my blog's name to Sneakers & Sequins. You see, I seem to have the worst luck with my poor feet. Remember when I told you about all the issues I already have with my feet? Well, those have gotten slightly better. However, I went ahead and twisted my left ankle Friday night. I'm just so darn clumsy. Would you believe I often discover random bruises on myself when I'm in the shower? I have no idea how/when they go there. It's something else, really. I've been massaging my feet with anti-inflammatory gel, so the left foot is feeling a lot better now, thank God! I just have to keep at that.

PS - these booties were on my covet list this month. So excited I got them, on sale!

PPS - It's my baby brother's birthday today, and I just wanna wish him the happiest of birthdays! My brother is one of the kindest, smartest, most patient, and most hardworking people I know. He is definitely the better kid of the family. Oftentimes, he's more mature than me. He just makes me so proud every single day. So, HAPPY BIRTHDAY to you, Darshan! I love you so, so much!!

Thanks so much, Sharon. The ankle recovery depends on me – I’m supposed to be taking meds & exercising it, but I always get lazy. :-/

I love the way you styled that skirt! I wanted that one so badly, but they didn’t have any left in my size. I ended up going with the solid navy one because I loved the fit so much, but I will have to be more creative to make it as stylish as you…but I’m sure I can pull that off lol

    • Dhruvi

You are so sweet, Jackie! And I agree – this skirt has a great fit. The dar blue one is SO much more versatile than this one. You can pair it with something like THIS or THIS or even THIS! I’m sure you’ll look great, regardless of how you style it!

  • Iva Grbesic

What a great pairing! Love those two prints mixed. Visiting from WIWW.

      Thank you so much, Iva!

  • Deana Boucher

Love the way u styled the skirt! And ps: I can fall in a pair of flip flops on a flat floor…crazy!

    • Dhruvi

Thank you, Deana! Crazy thing is – for years I used to wear heels allll the time, and when I eventually transitioned to flats and smaller heels – I used to trip in flats too!

2iNl – Lately i used to be really, really down on money and debts were eating me from all angles. That was UNTIL I found out how to generate money on the INTERNET. I visited surveymoneymaker point net, and started filling in surveys for straight cash, and surely I’ve been greatly more able to do my things!! I am happy, that i did this!!! With all the financial stress these years, I really hope all of you will give it a chance. NQ8k
